Importing a Question from Question Bank

The system allows you to import a previously added question in a question bank to be used in the activity you are creating.

To import a question from a question bank

1. On the questions types page, click the Import From tab, and then click Import from tab and then click Question Banks.
   
   
2. In the Import from Question Bank dialog box, in the search box, type a keyword that is related to the required question, or type the question bank name.
   
   
3. Click either Pinned Questions, My Banks or Public Banks to select the category where the required question is included, and then click
4. You can use the search criteria to filter the search results, by selecting the question’s difficulty level, the question type, the subject, or the grade/year related to the question and then click Search.
5. In the search results, click  beside the question you want to import; the selected questions are imported.

Import Random Questions

This feature allows you to select some of the questions that were already created in a given question bank to add them randomly to the activity/ quiz or in-session activity you are creating. In this case, the course where the activity/ quiz or in-session activity, are being created should have the same category and grade as those of the bank from where the questions are being imported. Once done, the system shall display, among the set of questions you specified, a different set of questions whenever the trainee is solving the activity/ quiz or in-session activity.  

To select random questions

1. In the Create Activity page, under Import tab, select Random Questions.
   
   
2. From the Specify Randomization Criteria dialog box, select the question bank from where you want the system to import random questions, select the check box next to it, and then click Proceed as shown in the figure below.
   
   
3. Select the questions types, level of difficulty, number, and score as shown in the figure below, and then click Save.
   
   
4. Once done, click Randomize.
   
   

Import Assessment Questions to Banks

Upon creating a question in a given activity, you can export this question to a question bank to continue reusing it from there. To be able to export the question, the course where the activity is being created should have the same category and grade as those as the bank to which you are exporting the question.

To export questions

1. In the activity page, next to the question, click , and then click Export to Question Bank.
   
   
2. In the Specify Bank to export the question dialog box, from the left pane bank tree, select the bank to which you want to export the question, select the check box next to the banks you want, and then click Save as in the following figure. The question is successfully exported to the bank.
