Manage Segment

For Admin Only

Create First Segment

Upon creating your account, setting up your profile, and providing the information of the organization you are responsible for, you are directed to create the first segment belonging to this organization as in the following figure.

  1. Enter the segment name in the Segment Name
  2. After providing the segment name, you can add its translation by clicking Add Translation as in the following figure.

  3. Enter the translation for the languages you want as in the following figure.
  4. Upload a logo to the segment through the Segment Logo
  5. Select the segment type from the Type drop-down list, and then enter the segment external ID in the External ID
  6. Click Save; you are directed to the organization information page where you can view the organization-related information as well as the segments belonging to it.

Add Sub Segment 

  1. On the Administration Tools page, click the name of the segment you want to add a sub-segment under it.
  2. Click Manage Level, and then click Add Segment as in the following figure.

  3. Enter the segment information, and then click Save.

Move Segment

  1. On the Administration Tools page, click the name of the segment you want to move a sub-segment under it.
  2. Click Manage Level, and then click Move Segment as in the following figure.

  3. Click the Move Segment The system displays the Move Segment dialog box where you can select the organization or the parent segment to which you want to move the segment as in the following figure.

Move Users Between Segment

  1. From the Administration Management page, select the segment where the user exists.
  2. Select the check box corresponding to the user you want to move, and then click Manage Users.
  3. From the Manage Users menu, click Move Users as in the following figure.

  4. In case the moved user is an employee, from the Move Employees dialog box, select the segment you will move the employees to.
  5. Once you select the segment, you can select the new grade you will move the employees to if any, and then click Move as in the following figure.

  6. In case the moved user is an instructor, from the Move Instructors dialog box, select the segment you will move the instructor to.
  7. Once you select the segment, you can select the new category if any, and then click Move.

Manage Segment Settings

From the Organization Management page, click , and then click Edit Organization Information as in the following figure.

Note Segment settings same as organization settings but it will applied in selected segment only

Delete Segment

  1. From the Organization main page, select the segment you want to delete from the left pane.
  2. Select Manage Segment then mouse over the Delete icon  till the Delete link appears as in the following figure.

  3. Click Delete; the system displays a message to confirm the segment deletion.

    Note

    The segment cannot be deleted in case it has provisioned users.
