- On the left navigation pane, click
- From the Courses main page, click Add Course. The system displays a new page where you can start entering the course information and settings.
Course Basic Info
In the Basic Info section, you can provide the following information:
- The course name, in the Course Name box
- The course category from the Category
- The years of experiences related to the course from the Years of Experience
- The instructor assigned to teach this course from the Course Instructor drop-down list, which can be changed as needed later. The list will show the Instructor and Employees roles in case the Allow employees to be assigned as Instructors in a course option is activated from the Organization Settings.
- By selecting Show only instructors assigned to the chosen category, you can select amongst the instructors assigned to the course category only. By not selecting this check box, the system displays all the instructors in the selected segment regardless the category.
- Select the segment where the course will be created from the All Levels
- In case the course is a Self-paced one, you can choose to assign no instructor to the course by selecting No instructor assigned from the Select Course Instructor drop-down list as in the figure below.
- The Administrator can also set the course cover page to be a photo or a video by clicking either Course Cover or Add Cover Video.
To add a cover photo for the course:
- On top of the course creation page, click Course Cover, then select one of the photos available through the system navigating through them using
. You can also use one of the photos available on your computer by clicking Browse File.
To add a video cover for the course

- On top of the course creation page, click Add Cover Video. Type the video URL, and then click Add.

- Course Completion Criteria: the Administrator has three options:
- Set the course completion criteria as Overall Assessments: and in this case, the trainee has to pass all the assessments contained in the course in order to complete the whole course.

Set the course completion criteria as Final Assessment: If this method is selected, trainees must complete only the final assessment of the course to pass.
- You can lock the final assessment if all materials are not viewed or submitted by checking the box next to the text:
"Lock the final assessment if all materials are not viewed or submitted." - This means that the trainees will not be able to access the final assessment unless they have viewed or submitted all the required training materials.

- Set the course completion criteria as Videos: and in this case, the trainee has to watch all the videos uploaded in the course in order to complete the whole course.
Course Settings
Through the Course Settings page, the Administrator can define the following:
- The Course type, and whether it is an Online Collaboration or a Self-paced one.
- In the Self-paced courses
, trainees study the courses by themselves without collaborating with the other course members. In this type of courses
, assessments submitted by the trainee are automatically graded.
- In the Online Collaboration courses , trainees study courses in collaboration with an instructor and peer trainees.
- The maximum number of trainees who can attend the course in the Max course capacity
- The place where the course will be held in the Course Location
- How the trainees can join this course whether through an invitation or a request to join
- In case the Administrator selects the joining method to be Invitation, trainees shall receive invitations to join the course on their e-mail addresses.
- In case the Administrator selects the joining method to be Request to Join, trainees can search for this course through the course catalogue, and then send a request to the Administrator to join the course. Once the Administrator selects Request to Join, he can then select the Auto accept requests check box, so the trainees’ requests are accepted automatically once sent and they can access the courses right away. In case the Auto accept requests check box is not selected, the Administrator will have to accept the requests manually once received in order to allow the trainees to join the course. . In this case the Administrator receives a notification on the course quadrant in the courses homepage that a trainee wants to join the course.
- Enable Locking: that allows the Administrator to lock the next session and open it for the trainees only when they have completed all the assessments and activities related to the current session. This obliges the trainee to complete session by session, with all its related material and assessments.
- Enable take attendance: that allows the Administrator to take the trainees attendance in the course being created.
- Enable Retake Courses: to allow employees to take the same course more than one time, and define the number of times in the Re-Take Course Count box that appears once the Enable Re-take Course check box is selected.
- The rounds’ attendance trials are counted of the overall retake times allowed for attending the course, and specified while creating it.
- In case the course is of Request to Join type, the Administrator is able to accept the requests submitted by the employees who exceeded the number of retake trials specified while creating the course.
- In case the course is of Invitation Only type, the Administrator can send an invitation to the employees who exceeded the number of retake trials specified while creating the course.
- In case an employee left the course, or was deleted then came back, his trial numbers are counted as accumulated.
Certificate Settings
The Administrator can select to grant certificates to the trainees who passed the course successfully by selecting the Add certificate to this course check box.

In order for the Certificate Settings section to appear, the administrator should enable this option on the organization level, and you should enable it on the segment level. For more information, you can refer to the Certificate Settings section above. |
Video-Based Course Settings
The Administrator can select to display all the course content in the form of a video including all the video files that exist in the course by selecting the Enable to play course option check box.
Course Gamification
Through the Course Gamification section, the Administrator can do the following:
- Award the trainees who will join the course by granting them badges and enable a leaderboard to be present in the course page to announce the names of the trainees who excelled during the course, and this by selecting the Enable Course Gamification check box.
- Choose to allow the trainees to view the course plan and the status of each of the course items like the sessions and assessments in the form of a map like the map shown at the right of the figure below, and this by selecting the Enable Learning Paths check box.
- Allow trainees to view each others’ progress by selecting the Let course trainees view each others’ progress check box.
Effectiveness Measurement Settings
Course feedback:
It's measures how engaged trainees were, how actively they contributed, and how they reacted to the training and enables you to make improvements to future training.
Knowledge Acquisition:
It's focused on measuring what your trainees have and haven’t learned and demonstrates how training has developed their skills, attitudes, and knowledge.
